Purpose of the Plan
Your membership in the Sonoma County Employees’ Retirement System is very important to you. Participation in the retirement plan helps you plan and save for retirement and future financial security. The Plan is designed to reward you for your service to the County by providing you a lifetime income when you reach retirement age.

Estimate of Retirement Benefit
On-line Estimate
You can run an estimate of your retirement benefit on-line by using the on-line How to Estimate Your SCERA Retirement Benefit.
You may enter information for various retirement scenarios and the calculator will deliver the estimated monthly benefit amount based on the information you provide.
Estimate Worksheet
You can also manually produce an estimate of your retirement benefit by using the Benefit Estimating Worksheet .
Formal Estimate
To submit a formal estimate request complete this form and submit to the Retirement Office via fax, interoffice courier or mail.
Retirement Counseling Classes
Retirement counseling classes are available. These two-hour group sessions are designed to help you plan for your retirement.
